Iraqi Prime Minister (PM) Muhammad Shayaa Al-Sudani, received, on Sunday, US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, to discuss the overall Iraqi-American relations, and ways to enhance joint cooperation in the economic and development fields, in light of the strategic framework agreement, and in a way that benefits the interests of the two friendly countries.
Iraqi PM affirmed that his country will continue to implement its reform programs at various levels, and work to build fruitful partnerships with friendly and brotherly countries, stressing the need for continued dialogue between Iraq and US to regulate the relationship in the post-victory stage over the terrorist organization ISIS.
For her part, the US ambassador expressed the US government's keenness to continue cooperation and develop common interests with Iraq.
She also praised the last round of strategic dialogue between Iraq and the US in Washington, stressing her country's readiness to continue constructive dialogue.
