The US envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, said that the Yemeni discussion will move from a truce to a permanent ceasefire if the Yemeni parties meet at the end.
Lenderking confirmed that "this is a decisive moment for Yemen, which gives hope and a sense of opportunity."
He explained that "the Yemenis were able to meet in Amman, Jordan (inpidually with the UN envoy), and also here in Riyadh under the auspices of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, there are 500 Yemenis gathered in Riyadh today.
The US envoy revealed that the announcement of the latest truce created "energy to gather here."
He added that he will be present (to support) the Yemeni people, as will the United States, for the US president has given a commitment to Yemen."
