US Dollar Exchange Rate Rises against Egyptian Pound

The exchange rate of the US dollar against the Egyptian pound continued to increase on Wednesday trading, reaching LE18.80.

The exchange rate of the US dollar in all banks on Wednesday witnessed a 5 piaster increase against the Egyptian pound during today's trading.

The exchange rate of the US dollar started increasing on Wednesday's morning to LE18.80, compared to LE 18.74 in Tuesday trading.

The price of the US dollar in Egyptian banks on Wednesday:

The Central Bank of Egypt recorded LE 18.73 for purchase and LE 18.85 for sale.

The National Bank of Egypt recorded LE18.76 for purchase, and LE 18.82 for sale.

Banque Misr recorded LE 18.76 for purchase, and LE 18.82 for sale.

The Bank of Alexandria recorded LE 18.78 for purchase, and LE 18.84 for sale.

The Commercial International Bank recorded LE 18.78 for purchase, and LE 18.84 for sale.

The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Egypt decided, in its meeting on Thursday, to keep the overnight deposit and lending rates and the central bank’s main operation rate at the level of 11.25%, 12.25% and 11.75%, respectively.
