The US strongly condemned Saturday's tragic terrorist attack in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, that killed nearly 100 people and injured nearly 300.
In a statement released by the White House, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said the United States remains committed to supporting the Federal Government of Somalia in its struggle to prevent such brutal terrorist acts.
He added that Washington expresses its sincere condolences to the Somali people and to all those who lost loved ones or were injured as a result of these unjustified attacks against innocent civilians.
