The United States marked one of the strongest international showings at EDEX 2025, reaffirming the depth of its strategic defense partnership with Egypt. Ambassador Herro Mustafa Garg and Major General Kevin Leahy officially opened the U.S. Pavilion in Cairo, where 23 American defense technology companies presented advanced systems designed to support Egypt’s military modernization and regional security needs.

The large U.S. delegation reflects decades of close military cooperation between the two countries. Washington and Cairo continue to coordinate on training, modernization programs, and professional military development, efforts that both sides consider essential for stability across the Middle East and North Africa. The presence of top American defense firms at EDEX sends a clear signal of long-term commitment to Egypt’s security and its ability to respond to evolving regional threats.

U.S. officials emphasized that the partnership extends beyond military hardware, describing it as a foundation that strengthens regional security and supports economic ties. “We are here to support and expand the U.S.–Egypt strategic partnership, which undergirds security throughout the region and creates economic opportunity for people in both our countries,” Ambassador Herro Mustafa Garg said during the pavilion opening.

EDEX 2025 once again served as an arena for reinforcing cooperation between the two nations, with the United States positioning itself as a leading partner in Egypt’s ongoing defense development.
