The US State Department has announced that Washington is working closely with Egypt and Qatar to discuss a ceasefire proposal for Gaza. This development was reported during a breaking news segment on Cairo News Channel.

A US State Department spokesperson stated, "We do not want to see an escalation on the Lebanese-Israeli border and have initiated a diplomatic effort to prevent that."

Since October 7, Israeli forces have intensified their assaults on the Gaza Strip by land, sea, and air. Thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble and in the streets, as Israeli forces block ambulance and civil defense teams from reaching them.

Civilians in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, are enduring severe violations of international humanitarian law by Israeli forces. Reports indicate the bombing of civilian homes, destruction of infrastructure and civilian facilities, and the use of various weapons, including internationally banned cluster bombs and white phosphorus. These actions have resulted in significant civilian casualties and widespread destruction of property.
