The US Central Command has issued a statement clarifying the events surrounding today's Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) rescue operations in Gaza.

The statement emphasized that the humanitarian wharf facility, along with its equipment and personnel, was not involved in the rescue mission. Instead, the area south of the facility was utilized by Israeli forces to safely return hostages to Israel.

"Any claims suggesting otherwise are false," stated the US Central Command. The clarification comes amid circulating misinformation regarding the operation's logistics and the utilization of the humanitarian wharf.

The temporary wharf, established on the Gaza coast, serves a crucial and singular purpose: facilitating the transfer of life-saving aid to the beleaguered Gaza Strip. The US Central Command highlighted that the facility was set up to help in delivering much-needed humanitarian assistance to the region, which has been grappling with severe shortages of essential supplies.

The Gaza Strip has been the focus of numerous humanitarian efforts, particularly following the escalation of hostilities. The temporary wharf represents a vital logistical hub for these efforts, aimed at alleviating the suffering of civilians by ensuring the flow of critical supplies such as food, medicine, and other essential items.

Today's hostage rescue operation by the IDF, conducted south of the humanitarian wharf, underscores the complexity and sensitivity of ongoing operations in the region. The successful rescue of the hostages marks a significant development, yet the focus remains on ensuring that the humanitarian aid reaches those in dire need.

The US Central Command reiterated the importance of accurate information dissemination in such sensitive contexts, urging all parties to verify facts before making public statements. The humanitarian wharf remains dedicated to its mission of supporting the delivery of aid, a task that continues to be of paramount importance amidst the ongoing crisis in Gaza.

As the situation in Gaza continues to evolve, the international community's role in providing support and ensuring the well-being of civilians remains critical. The US Central Command's statement serves as a reminder of the importance of coordinated efforts and clear communication in achieving these humanitarian objectives.
