U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced a short while ago the completion of a new wave of military strikes against Iran, noting that they targeted military facilities and infrastructure linked to Iranian missile and aerial capabilities.
Targeting Military Facilities and Infrastructure
In a statement, CENTCOM reported that the operations concluded at 9:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).
The strikes targeted command centers, air defense sites, facilities associated with missile and drone capabilities, as well as coastal surveillance facilities, with the aim of disrupting Iran’s ability to threaten commercial navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
The command added that U.S. forces utilized precision-guided munitions to strike sites across several areas, including the city of Bandar Abbas.

The statement also pointed out that U.S. forces had executed another wave of strikes earlier in the morning, lasting approximately 90 minutes, which targeted coastal defense sites and cruise missiles on Greater Tunb Island.
CENTCOM emphasized that the operations were carried out under the directives of the U.S. President, stressing that the United States "holds Iran responsible," according to the statement.
