US Bans Supply of Dollar Bills to Russia

US President Joe Biden has signed a decree banning the supply of US dollar notes to Russia.

The decree states: “It is prohibited to export, re-export, sell or supply directly or indirectly from the United States or from American inpiduals or entities, regardless of the location of the US dollar notes, to the Government of Russia or any party in Russia.”

In addition, Biden imposed restrictions on the import of alcohol, diamonds, and seafood from Russia, and on the export of luxury products to it.

"The executive decree will establish the legal bases for future restrictions on investment in any sector of the Russian economy," the White House said.

Earlier, the United States banned the import of oil, gas and coal from Russia.
