Commander of US forces in the Indian and Pacific Oceans Admiral Philip Davidson has warned that China may invade Taiwan, an island in the Pacific Ocean, within six years.

He pointed out that China seeks to achieve its target to replace the United States of America (USA) as the major power in the Far East.

Davidson said during a hearing in the US Senate that he is concerned about the Chinese plans to accelerate their efforts to take US place in the region by 2050.

He warned that Beijing intends to achieve that target earlier.

The US Admiral went on to say that it is clear that Taiwan is a part of China’s ambitions so threats will be real in the coming decade.

China also has plans to annex other regions in the South  China Sea located in both Vietnam and the Philippines along with the islands of  Senkaku Islands in the Eastern Sea of China that under the sovereignty of Japan.

China clashed with India to claw out regions in the Himalayas mountains on the western borders.

Davidson indicated that China threatens Guam, a US island in the Pacific Ocean,  as the island becomes one of  China’s targets nowadays.

The Chinese army broadcast a propaganda videotape last year that showed pilots attacking Guam, 2500 km east of the Philippines.

Davidson urged Senators to approve deploying the most modern generation of anti-missile batteries in Guam.

He stressed that Guam must be defended against futuristic threats as the island considered a place Americans must fight for.

He incited the senators to allot funds in the 2022 military budget to buy attacking weaponry to convince the Chinese of the higher cost of any attempt to conquer Guam to make them doubt possibilities of success.

China considers a dissent Taiwan province and accuses the government of the island of seeking full indolence.

The President of Taiwan often says that her country is an independent state named the  Republic of China.
