Police in New York City announced that three teenage boys were injured in a shooting that occurred in Times Square on Monday night.
The NYPD said the three victims, ages 15, 16, and 17, were shot when a suspect opened fire on Seventh Avenue between West 41st and 42nd Streets at 11:50 p.m.
The two boys, aged 15 and 16, were wounded in the leg. The third victim, who is 17 years old, was shot in the arm.
Authorities noted that the gunman fled on foot on West 41st Street, and the investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
Sources reported that the teens were among a larger group of people who got into an argument with the suspect, who pulled out a gun and fired at the group in the crowded tourist area.
