Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Zurab Pololikashvili on Sunday invited tourists from around the globe to visit Egypt and enjoy its charming beaches and warm weather.
Pololikashvili’s remarks came during his visit to the Red Sea resort city of Hurghada along with Tourism and Antiquities Minister Khaled El Anany, the Tourism and Antiquities Ministry said in a statement.

Pololikashvili said: "By resuming the cultural tourism in September, the tourists could also enjoy visiting the Egyptian antiquities and get familiar with Egypt’s ancient civilization."
The UNWTO chief hailed the commitment of Egyptian hotels to anti-coronavirus measures.
He also lauded anti-coronavirus measures and safety regulations, taken by the Egyptian government to resume tourism.

It is worth noting that Pololikashvili and Anany toured Hurghada Museum where he expressed his admiration for the artifacts there, especially the statue of Princess Merit-Amun, King Ramsses II daughter.
They also went to a ping center to check on the precautionary measures there and took a cruise in the Red Sea.

Pololikashvili arrived in Egypt Saturday night, embarking on his first visit outside Europe since the coronavirus outbreak and the resumption of flights in Spain.
He was invited by Anany to get posted on measures taken by Egypt to resume tourism and flights with all world countries.
