The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts that the country will continue experiencing unstable weather on Thursday.
Meteorologists also predicted that the wave is accompanied by rain of varying intensity and thunderous sometimes.
The cold snap will continue for the next 24 hours, with weather expected to improve on Friday.
Moderately warm to warm weather will prevail in most parts of the country during the daylight hours. Extremely hot weather is also expected to hit South Upper Egypt.
Dusty winds occasionally occur in most parts of the country.
The Northwest Coast and the Western Sahara will experience gusts of wind reaching speeds of 50 to 60 km/h, limiting horizontal visibility.
There is also a chance of noderate to heavy rainfall, sometimes thunderous, will prevail intermittently, in Cairo, the South Lower Egypt, Canal Cities, the Northeastern Coast, Sinai, North Upper Egypt, and the gulf of Suez.
Light to moderate rain also forecast to hit the Northwest Coast and the North Lower Egypt at intermittent period.
The Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate waves ranging between 1.5 and 2 in height, with northwest surface winds.
Waves in the Red Sea will be low to moderate, ranging between 1.25 and 1.75 meters in height varying between northwest and northeast surface winds.
Cold weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early morning.
The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 25°C in Cairo, 21°C in Alexandria, 19°C in Marsa Matruh, 32°C in Sohag, 35°C in Qena, and 38°C in Aswan.
