Muhammad, an engineer working for UNRWA and a specialist in communications and networks, said: I have been working with UNRWA since 2004, and I have witnessed many emergencies, wars and crises, but I have never witnessed a catastrophic situation like this.

He continued, saying: Israel has not left a place in Gaza without bombing it, and there is no longer a safe place at all, and there is no water, electricity, or services.

Muhammad said: The people are experiencing a tragedy the likes of which we have never seen before and we have never heard of anything similar to in the modern era.

He concluded his speech: There must be a decisive response from the international community against Israel, as it is a criminal state and its officials are war criminals.

It is worth noting that Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of UNRWA, accused Israel of paving the way for the expulsion of the residents of the Gaza Strip to Egypt across the border.

Lazzarini pointed to the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the increasing concentration of displaced civilians who fled the fighting near the border in the north and then the south.

Lazzarini concluded his speech by saying: “The United Nations and many member states, including the United States, strongly rejected the forcible displacement of Gazans from the Strip.”
