The UNRWA Commissioner has urgently called for an immediate cessation of what he termed as "Israeli madness" that is obstructing their efforts in distributing humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip. "Another day in hell in Gaza, with the death toll reaching an unprecedented number," he stated, highlighting the dire situation.

According to a breaking news report by Cairo News Channel, the fatalities in Gaza were desperately trying to access life-saving humanitarian aid amidst the ongoing conflict.

The Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, has resulted in thousands of deaths and tens of thousands of injuries. The conflict has also led to significant destruction, including buildings and infrastructure.

The health system in Gaza is facing an extremely critical situation, starting from an almost collapsed ambulance service. The Israeli forces have reportedly targeted approximately 108 ambulances, and out of 36 hospitals, only 11 are functioning partially.

Additionally, the majority of hospitals in Gaza and its northern regions have been stormed by the occupation forces, where medical staff, displaced individuals, patients, and the wounded have been subjected to mistreatment. Thirty-four medical personnel have been detained.

The continuous Israeli aggression has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, making the distribution of essential aid and medical services increasingly challenging. UNRWA's call emphasizes the urgent need for international intervention to halt the violence and ensure the safe delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in dire need.
