The Commissioner-General of UNRWA said that UNRWA carried out the last food distribution operation in the northern Gaza Valley on January 23.
He confirmed that since the beginning of the year, half of the requests to send aid that we have provided to the North have been rejected.
He added: The United Nations has identified areas of deep famine and hunger in northern Gaza where people are believed to be on the verge of starvation. At least 300,000 people living in the north depend on our aid for their survival.
He concluded: Access to life-saving humanitarian aid is being prevented, and with the necessary political will, this can easily be reversed.
