The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, revealed that 4 out of 5 school buildings in the Gaza Strip have been directly bombed or damaged and are in need of repair.
In a statement on the X platform, Lazzarini said that 625,000 children in Gaza, including 300,000 UNRWA students, lost a full school year due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, government’s media office in Gaza, reported that the Israeli army completely destroyed more than 120 schools and universities, while 332 educational institutions were partially destroyed.
The Israel's recent attack was on Al Tabaeen school, in which at least 100 Palestinians were killed
Lazzarini has previously noted that the continuation of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip means the destruction of the entire community and called for an immediate ceasefire.
