On his part, Mikhail Murashko, the Russian Minister of Health, announced that he notices the high number of "Covid-19" cases in some Russian regions as well.

According to Murashko, this increase in the number of infections is related to the return of many people to work after the end of their annual leave.

Murashko stressed the need to adhere to the health rules and measures taken to combat the novel Coronavirus pandemic, noting the importance of vaccination against influenza this year.

The minister added, that more than 90,000 people infected with "COVID-19" are still receiving treatment in Russian hospitals, and there are 217 thousand under medical observation.

The minister indicated that as of September 13, 2020, more than 40.6 million tests have been performed to detect the Coronavirus.

WHO urged the countries of the world to contribute more to the endeavors to develop and produce drugs against the emerging corona virus, which causes "Covid-19" disease, and the means for diagnosing infections with it.

The Director-General of the organization, Tedros Adhanum Ghebreyesus, during an event organized last Thursday, by video link, indicated that his organization has launched the initiative to accelerate the availability of anti-"COVID-19" tools.

"We need quickly to expand the clinical testing cycle and upgrade production, licensing and regulatory capabilities, so that these products reach people and start saving lives," he said.

On the other hand, the United Nation has issued a report draws a dreadful image of the world economy.

The report warns of unprecedented rates of unemployment and poverty in the world during the period to come as an expected fallout of the Coronavirus which threatens the planet now.

The deadly virus ( known also as the COVID-19) has infected more than three million people in the world so far.

The UN report indicated that about 195 million persons will lose jobs due to the Coronavirus.

This leads to more poverty and other social problems in the world.

Experts of the UN stressed that economic crisis related to the COVID-19 pushes the world economy towards depression like the great Depression that hit the world economy in the end of the 30s of 20th century.

The report went on to say that the small and medium-sized firms, farmers, refugees, immigrants are the most vulnerable categories which inflicted by the impacts of the Coronavirus.

The economists warn that the world is about to enter into a new passive depression over the period to come.

The envisioned slump will be the most dangerous since the 1930's.

Many governments across the globe have ordered their national companies to suspend their activities and instructed their peoples to stay at home.

Despite the sinister expectations, the experts affirm that the depression may hold for a short period.

Economists at the Stanley Morgan Bank, a US investment bank, forecast the slump will run for short range.

The is about a new unprecedented era as the pandemic continues in claiming more souls across the globe.
