Aaron Greenberg, UNICEF's adviser to the United Nations for the protection of children in Europe, Asia, and Central Asia, said that the organization expects that the number of orphans and victims of violence among children in Ukraine will reach tens of thousands.

Greenberg added - in a press conference - that UNICEF supports 12 mobile teams dedicated to addressing the effects of violence in the Ukrainian east, noting that these teams have worked so far with 700 cases of women and children in terms of responding to specific inquiries and reports related to violence there.

He explained that since February 24, UNICEF and partners have managed to reach 140,000 children and provide care for them through mental health and psychosocial services.
