The UNICEF organization called for the preservation of the ceasefire in Gaza and for the safe access of civilians and humanitarian workers to be allowed.

For his part, the UNICEF Regional Director for the Middle East told Al Jazeera that children in the Strip have suffered injuries and disabilities and are in need of assistance programs, explaining that 650,000 children have been deprived of education for more than two years.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced an increase in the number of victims of the Israeli aggression to 68,527 martyrs and 170,395 injured since October 7, 2023, noting that the Strip's hospitals received 8 martyrs and 13 injured during the past 48 hours.

The channel also quoted Hamas as confirming that the issue of prisoners and their liberation will remain on the agenda of the Palestinian leadership, and that the file of Palestinian prisoners is a national issue par excellence, expressing hope for an end to the suffering of all prisoners and their release in the expected deal.

Hamas added that the term of the administrative committee in the Gaza Strip must end either by holding elections or by forming a Palestinian consensus government, confirming its rejection of separating Gaza from the West Bank, and stressing that Gaza and the West Bank represent a single national unit.
