Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip continued on Friday, killing and injuring dozens, as UNICEF reported that an average of 27 children are being killed each day in the besieged territory.
According to Palestinian media citing medical sources, 17 Palestinians were killed in Israeli bombardments targeting various areas in northern and southern Gaza since dawn on Friday.
Among the dead were 10 victims of an Israeli airstrike that struck two homes in the southern town of Bani Suheila, located in Khan Younis.
The report added that civil defence teams, assisted by local residents, are still working to recover missing persons trapped under the rubble.
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has raised alarm over the mounting child death toll, stating that Israel is killing 27 children every day in Gaza, underscoring the devastating impact of the ongoing conflict on minors.
