The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) warned on Thursday that children in Gaza remain trapped in a relentless cycle of fear and violence, as the conflict continues to devastate the besieged enclave.
According to a statement reported by Al-Qahera News, UNICEF said that most areas across the Gaza Strip have become unsafe for children, underscoring the urgent need for protection and humanitarian assistance.
The organization reiterated its call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, stressing that the safety and well-being of children must be prioritized. “Children are bearing the heaviest burden of this conflict. They need peace, safety, and access to basic services,” UNICEF said.
The agency’s warning comes amid mounting international concern over the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, where widespread displacement, shortages of food, and lack of medical supplies have left families struggling to survive.
