Under Sisi's Auspices, Egypt's New Republic Hits Guinness Records

During the past years, Egypt adopted a large number of giant and mega projects, which made it compete for the regional and international leadership. A number of these major achievements were recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.

The national and major projects witnessed by Egypt during the past seven years varied between roads, bridges, housing, new cities, charitable convoys, and others.

Egypt has won many Guinness World Records certificates, and it is expected to achieve new records in the near future, which confirms the great efforts made by the political leadership.

In May 2019, Egypt recorded a great achievement by entering the Long Live Egypt Bridge at the Rod Al-Farag axis, the Guinness Book of World Records, as the widest suspension bridge in the world.

It set a new record for the widest suspension bridge with a width of 67.3 meters; it was designed and built by the Arab Contractors Company, and opened on May 15, 2019. The bridge was built by 4,000 engineers, technicians and workers, and was built to reduce traffic density in downtown Cairo.

In December of 2019, the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) witnessed a new Guinness World Records record for drawing a painting with the largest number of coffee cups.

The image of King Tutankhamun's mask was drawn using 7,260 coffee cups made of mosaic as a symbol of love and welcoming gesture. This is within the framework of the efforts made by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to promote and publicize the GEM prior to its opening in the last quarter of 2021.

In June of 2019, Egypt set a world record for the longest banquet at a Ramadan breakfast, and nearly 7,000 people ate at the table at the Iftar party organized in the New Administrative Capital, and the old number in the Guinness Book as the longest table in the world was 2890 in length. meters, but now Egypt has surpassed the last number.

This September, Egypt also achieved a great and remarkable achievement, by registering the Guinness Book of World Records to receive 3 new records achieved by the Long Live Egypt Fund, specialized in each of the largest donation campaign for medical devices in the world, the largest campaign to donate household appliances by 4,500 devices, and the largest donation of foodstuffs with a total of one million cartons to help families across Egypt.

A few days ago, Egypt obtained Guinness international certificates, during the inauguration of the largest water treatment plant project; Bahr al-Baqar Bank in East Port Said, where Egypt received three certificates from the "Guinness Book of Records" in Egypt.

The officials of the "Guinness Book" announced, in a video recording, that Egypt was granted three certificates from the encyclopedia regarding the establishment of the largest treatment plant, the largest desalination plant and the largest ozone treatment plant, in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the encyclopedia pointed out that it was surprised by the strength of these numbers.

The first certificate is for establishing the largest water treatment plant in the world with a capacity of 64.8 cubic meters per second, amounting to 5.6 million cubic meters per day, or more than 2 billion cubic meters per year.

The second one is for the largest sludge treatment plant in the world, which is an addition to the water treatment plant, as sludge is harmful substances resulting from water desalination from impurities, solid and liquid materials.

Third record is for an ozone production plant equivalent to 5 million per year, 6 US plants compete with it combined, and the record was obtained by Egypt after proving the production of this quantity from one plant, which is considered a great achievement because it was established according to the best international standards.
