Sony delayed once again the release date of "Uncharted", its film adaptation of the popular PlayStation video game series starring Tom Holland.
The movie has been delayed one week from Feb. 11, 2022, to Feb. 18, 2022.
“Uncharted” has been postponed several times. Its earlier release dates included March 5, 2021, Oct. 8, 2021, and July 16, 2021. Prior to those dates, the production was slated to be released in 2016 and 2017. It has gone through multiple rewrites, several filming attempts, and nearly seven directors.
The production is directed by Ruben Fleischer and written by Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Rafe Judkins.
The plot follows the adventures of young treasure hunter Nathan Drake (Holland) as he travels the globe in search of mythical artifacts.
The movie also features Mark Wahlberg as Sully, a fellow treasure hunter and mentor to Nathan Drake, and Sophia Ali as Chloe Frazer, yet another fortune hunter and Drake’s love interest.
The cast also includes Antonio Banderas and Tati Gabrielle.
