The UN Security Council will hold a session on the security situation in Ukraine at the request of Slovenia and the United States, while a special annual meeting will be held today, Tuesday, with the President of the International Court of Justice, Judge Nawaf Salam, in addition to a briefing session on the situation in Haiti.
The Council will also witness a briefing session tomorrow, Wednesday, on the work of the United Nations Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic, presented by the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the Central African Republic and the Head of the Mission, Valentin Rugwabeza.
The Council is holding a session on political and humanitarian developments in Syria.
Next Thursday, the Council will also hold an annual open discussion on women, peace and security, and this year it will focus on women’s participation in efforts to build and sustain peace.
