Members of the UN Security Council have expressed deep concern over the catastrophic humanitarian situation and imminent famine in the Gaza Strip, according to breaking news reported by Cairo News Channel. The channel also noted that the Council members are calling for the protection of humanitarian workers in Gaza to be respected.

The ongoing Israeli occupation forces continue to launch hundreds of airstrikes and artillery bombardments across Gaza, committing grave crimes and bloody massacres against civilians and engaging in horrifying crimes in areas of incursion amidst a dire humanitarian situation due to the blockade and the displacement of over 90% of the population.

Israeli airstrikes have destroyed entire residential blocks in the Gaza Strip as part of a comprehensive destruction policy in its ongoing aggression against the territory.

Thousands of victims, both dead and wounded, remain unrescued from under the rubble due to continuous bombing and the perilous on-ground conditions. This comes amid a stifling siege on the enclave and strict restrictions on the entry of fuel and urgent vital aid needed to alleviate the catastrophic humanitarian conditions.
