UN secretary general praises Egyptian efforts in treating wounded Palestinians

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres praised the efforts made by Egypt in receiving wounded Palestinians and bringing relief aid into the Gaza Strip.

During his visit to Egypt, The Secretary-General of the United Nations renewed his call for a quick ceasefire in Gaza, stressing that the humanitarian aid trucks stacked on the Egyptian side to enter the Strip as soon as possible.

He noted that his visit to North Sinai Governorate aims to visiting the wounded Palestinians in Al-Arish General Hospital, reviewing the Egyptian efforts in treating them, inspecting aid trucks in front of the Rafah border crossing, and meeting a number of  workers in the humanitarian field. 

For his part, the Governor of North Sinai welcomed the Secretary-General of the United Nations to the governorate.

The governor said, “The Egyptian political leadership is making great efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, in cooperation with a number of brotherly and friendly countries,” pointing out to the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to provide all facilitations to the Palestinian brothers.
