On Thursday, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that over 1.1 million individuals in the Gaza Strip are experiencing an extreme level of food insecurity. Israel is preventing aid from entering the enclave, exacerbating the situation.

In a post on social media platform X, OCHA emphasized the need to distribute sufficient food aid via land routes to save lives, especially in the northern areas of the Strip.

OCHA also noted that Israel is preventing aid from entering the enclave, exacerbating the situation

Israeli forces have been launching a large-scale offensive against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to retaliate against a Hamas rampage through southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
