The United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator for the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Muin Hadi, has issued a stark warning regarding the critical situation in Gaza. He highlighted that the cessation of vital aid deliveries, including food, water, fuel, and medical supplies, threatens the lives of over two million Palestinians.
In a press statement on Friday, reported by the Palestinian News Agency "WAFA," Hadi stated that life for Palestinians in Gaza is at breaking point. Over the past six weeks, Israeli authorities have imposed a ban on commercial imports, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
Hadi emphasized that Palestinian civilians are struggling to survive under unlivable conditions amid ongoing hostilities. "They are being pushed to the brink, lacking access to the essential support they desperately need, resulting in an unparalleled humanitarian catastrophe," he said.
He further stressed that humanitarian agencies in Gaza remain committed to their work but are increasingly questioning their ability to continue operations. He appealed for the urgent and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza through legal channels to prevent further suffering.
