In a video message to the Annual Conference of Woman’s Position, António Guterres, General-Secretary of the United Nations (UN), said that one woman is killed every eleven minutes all over the world.
The UN Chief condemned violence against women as their partners or family members murder females for various reasons.
He considered that violence against females was the longest pandemic in the history of the globe.
He revealed that one in every three women, in all parts of the world, is hurt directly by violence.
The UN chief added that changing the minds of men and adults are the first step towards freeing women from violence.
He affirmed that the UN cooperates with governments and lawmakers to enhance laws and bylaws to ensure better protection for women and lasses.
