United Nations Human Rights Office today, Saturday, condemned the repeated increase in Israeli airstrikes targeting schools where hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians have sought refuge. The latest attacks have resulted in the deaths of dozens in a school in Gaza City.
According to a statement from the UN Human Rights Office in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, posted on the official UN website, the "Al-Tabi'een" school was hit by Israeli airstrikes, with initial reports indicating that at least 93 Palestinians were killed, including 11 children and six women.
The website noted that between October 7, 2023, and August 8, 2024, at least 39,699 Palestinians were killed, and 91,722 others were injured in the ongoing war, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
