The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, has said that the level of death and destruction in Gaza is unprecedented.
In a statement, the UN Chief emphasized that the extent of this destruction is "unbearable".
Guterres also expressed his concerns about the current situation, which makes it impossible to carry out any humanitarian operations effectively in Gaza.
He further added that he is apprehensive about the intensifying tensions in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
Earlier, the UN Chief warned that the Gaza Strip was in the midst of an "epic humanitarian catastrophe," noting that the medical system has broken down under the heavy caseload, acute shortages, and the impact of hostilities.
