The United Nations (UN) Secretary-General, António Guterres, congratulated Muslims on the holy month of Ramadan.
"I send my warmest wishes as Muslims around the world begin the holy month of Ramadan," Guterres tweeted.
"The Holy Quran teaches us that God created nations and tribes so that we might know one another,” "Let us learn from each other and, together, build a peaceful world," he added.
It is worth mentioning that the Ramadan festivities kicked off on Saturday, and the world leaders sent their wishes to the Muslim community as the holy month started on Saturday.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson wished all Muslims a Ramadan Mubarak.
“This will be the first Ramadan free from any kind of COVID restrictions since the pandemic began. As you come together with your family and your community to break your fast, worship and remember those in need. I hope this year is particularly special,” Johnson said in a video posted on Twitter.
