The United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, expressed his deep concern about the developments in Jenin city, in occupied West Bank.

In a brief statement reported by the United Nations News Center Guterres stressed the need to fully respect international humanitarian law.

It is worth mentioning that, Egypt strongly condemned on Monday, the attack carried out by Israeli forces on Jenin city in the occupied West Bank, which resulted in 5 victims and 27 injured among the Palestinian people.

In a statment, Foreign Ministry affirmed Egypt's complete rejection of the attacks and the repeated Israeli incursions against Palestinian cities, and the flagrant violation of the provisions of international law and international legitimacy, especially international humanitarian law that imposes clear and specific obligations on Israel as the occupying power.
