The United Nations (UN) announced today, Tuesday, that 15 million Sudanese are in urgent need of humanitarian support.
On the other hand, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned of a major biological threat in Sudan, after fighters took control of a laboratory in the country.
The UN organization said that one of the parties now controls a public health laboratory in Sudan, and thus poses a "very high biological risk."
According to the organization, the laboratory contains samples that cause measles, cholera, and polio.
The United Nations confirmed that its work continues in Sudan and that a temporary center for the organization has been established in the city of Port Sudan.
The final political agreement to end the crisis in Sudan was scheduled to be signed on the first of this April, in addition to the signing of the constitutional document on April 6, and this did not happen due to differences in visions between the leaders of the armed forces and the leaders of the Rapid Support Forces about setting timetables for integrating the Rapid Support Forces into the army. , until the fighting began between the two sides on April 15.
