British Foreign Secretary David Cameron has called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza Strip and a move towards lasting peace.
In a statement reported by British network Sky News on Tuesday, Cameron called for the release of "hostages" and the entry of aid into Gaza instead of launching a full-scale Israeli attack on Rafah, in southern Gaza Strip.
He said, "We call for a ceasefire now, and we believe that what we need is a temporary ceasefire, along with the release of the hostages and providing them with assistance. This must happen immediately."
