Ukraine’s Prosecutor General, Iryna Venediktova, announced that 1,222 bodies have been found in the Kyiv region so far.
“We have actually 1,222 dead people for this morning in the Kyiv region,” Venediktova said in an interview with Britain’s “Sky News”.
On the other hand, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan pledged on Sunday that the United States will provide Ukraine with the weapons it needs in the face of the Russian invasion.
During an interview with CNN, Sullivan accused the new commander of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, General Alexander Dvornikov, of “committing brutal crimes and attacks against Ukrainian civilians.”
The US National Security Adviser held the Kremlin responsible for targeting civilians in Ukraine.
