Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that during a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he proposed holding the next peace summit on Ukraine in India. However, this would require New Delhi to join the declaration of the first summit held in Switzerland.
In an interview with Indian media representatives, as reported by the Ukrainian news agency "Ukrinform," President Zelensky stated, "Regarding the peace summit, I genuinely believe that the second peace summit should be held in one of the Global South countries, and we are very open to this."
He added that he shared the idea of holding the next peace summit in India with Prime Minister Modi.
Zelensky continued, "This is the world's largest democracy, but I want to be honest—this applies not only to India but to any country that will take a positive stance towards the second summit. However, we will not be able to hold the next peace summit in a country that has not yet joined the declaration of the previous summit."
