British Prime Minister (PM) Boris Johnson held phone talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy about a new phase of military aid to Ukraine, including the provision of heavy weapons, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian President, Andrei Sepiga, confirmed.
Sepiga added that both officials also talked about further financial support for Ukraine.
Earlier, British Prime Minister (PM) Boris Johnson confirmed that the UK would send more defensive weapons to Ukraine to help it confront Russia.
“The UK will send more defensive weapons to Ukraine and will work with G7 partners to target every pillar of the Russian economy to ensure Putin fails,” Johnson tweeted.
Moreover, Johnson said that his country would not allow “Russia’s crimes” in Ukraine to go unpunished.
