Ukrainian FM Congratulates Abdel Atty on his New Post

Ukrainian Foreign Minister (FM) Congratulated Mr.Badr Abdelatty on his appointment as Foreign Minister of Egypt.

"I look forward to working together on developing Ukrainian-Egyptian relations and trade, as well as advancing the Peace Formula as a path to a just and lasting peace in Ukraine," 

Dr. Badr Abdel Aaty was sworn in today as Egypt's new Minister of Foreign Affairs, taking the oath before President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in the newly formed government of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

Dr. Abdel Aaty's illustrious career in diplomacy, marked by professional excellence and unwavering patriotism, has seen him rise from a student at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science to the esteemed position of Foreign Minister and Minister of Migration in Egypt's "New Republic."

Throughout his diplomatic journey, Dr. Abdel Aaty has held numerous prominent positions. Most recently, he served as Egypt’s Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, the European Union, and NATO from 2021 to 2024. Prior to that, he was Egypt’s Ambassador to Germany from 2015 to 2019.

He also served as Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Affairs until 2021 and was Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Spokesperson for the Ministry from 2013 to 2015, pivotal years in Egypt's modern history.
