Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Vilnius, Lithuania, Tuesday, to take part in the highly anticipated NATO summit, the Ukrainian Presidency spokesperson announced.
Zelensky would witness a special ceremony of raising the Ukrainian flag.
In the same context, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov arrived with Zelensky for the summit.
Zelensky is also set for joining the inaugural meeting of the new NATO-Ukraine Council.
It is expected that the alliance would also discuss the membership of Ukraine, alongside the approval of a multi-year assistance program “to ensure full interoperability” between the Ukrainian army and NATO.
