Ukraine Tension: Biden Considers Holding New Summit with Putin

US president Joe Biden that he considers the possibility of holding a new summit with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

 

"I still think that is a possibility," Biden said during a press conference, adding that he is concerned that a Ukraine conflict could have broader implications and "get out of hand."

 

It is worth mentioning that, earlier, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stressed that Russia’s renewed aggression against Ukraine would have ‘rapid’, and ‘serious’ consequences.

This came during a phone call between Blinken and Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, the US State Department spokesman Ned Price, said.

Moreover, Blinken and Borrell discussed close coordination between the United States (US) and the European Union (EU), along with NATO allies and European partners, to respond to the continuing and very worrying Russian military build-up near Ukraine’s borders.
