The Ukrainian Ministry of Economy announced on Monday that at least 5 million people in Ukraine have lost their jobs because of the war.
"The war is destroying the Ukrainian labor market," the ministry said - in a statement carried by the Ukrainian news agency "Ukrinform".
The ministry added that hundreds of employees and workers were killed during the battles between the Russian and Ukrainian forces, noting that about 7 million people fled the country, pushing the unemployment rate to increase dramatically.
