Ukraine said that Russia is training about 2,500 reserve soldiers to send them to fight, according to urgent news broadcast by Al-Arabiya TV.

Earlier, the Washington Post reported that US president Joe Biden is expected to sign in the coming days a $40 billion security aid package, to provide Ukraine with missiles, artillery and drones.

However, what remains unclear is Washington's ability to continue tracking these powerful weapons as they enter one of the largest trading centers in Europe.

The newspaper pointed out that the illegal arms market in Ukraine has swelled since the first Russian invasion in 2014, driven by a surplus of bulk weapons and limited restrictions on their use.

This uncomfortable fact for the US and its allies comes in light of urgent appeals from President Volodymyr Zelensky to provide the artillery needed to confront Russian forces in the east and south of the country.
