The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, rejected the Russian suggestion of selecting Belarus to host the negotiations between both countries.
Speaking in a televised short speech, Zelenskyy listed several cities to host the Ukrainian-Russian talks, such as Warsaw, Bratislava, Istanbul, Baku, and Budapest.
He said: "I am ready for negotiations in any country from where missiles do not fly," Ukraine President Zelensky said.
His response came after the Kremlin sent a delegation to Belarus for moderate negotiations with the Ukrainian side.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the delegation consists of military officials and diplomats.
He said: “The Russian delegation is ready for talks, and we are now waiting for the Ukrainians."
In the same context, the Ukrainian President accused Russia of attacking civilians and destroying Ukrainian cities.
"This is terror. They are going to bomb our Ukrainian cities, even more, they are going to kill our children even more subtly," the Ukrainian President affirmed.
Next, he described Russia’s actions as a war against Europe, asserting: "This is not just Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. This is the beginning of a war against Europe, against European structures, against democracy, against basic human rights, against a global order of law, rules, and peaceful coexistence."
