Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Iryna Vereshchuk announced that 2,694 civilians have been evacuated via the humanitarian corridors on Sunday.

"469 civilians traveled with their own vehicles through humanitarian corridors from Mariupol and Berdyansk to the city of Zaporizhzhia," Vereshchuk posted via social media, according to 'CNN' TV channel.

The American channel added that 1,467 people were evacuated from the Luhansk region, noting that 7 buses, accompanied by a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), arrived in the city of Manish today.

It is worth mentioning that, the Russian-Ukrainian war has entered its second month as thousands of soldiers from both sides have been killed and millions have been displaced from the Ukrainian side since the start of Russian operations in Ukrainian territory on February 24.

Several countries have imposed significant economic sanctions on Moscow, while Russia has responded by imposing personal sanctions on a number of American and Canadian leaders.
