Ukraine is not among the countries invited to the G20 summit, which will be held in New Delhi in September 2023, a spokesperson of Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Arindam Bagchi said.

The official indicated that there is still plenty of time until the summit if there are any changes in the list of guests, they will be unveiled at a later time, informs Rador.

Earlier, the G20 Organizing Committee announced that the 18th summit of the group's heads of state and government would be held during 9-10 September in New Delhi.

Besides the leaders of the G20 member nations, nine other countries, including Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain and the UAE, are also invited to it.

Svetlana Lukash, the representative of the Russian president in the G20, told TASS that there is every chance that Vladimir Putin will participate in the summit in New Delhi.

Last month, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to call for the latter’s help with implementing a “peace formula.”

“I had a phone call with PM Narendra Modi and wished a successful G20 presidency,” Zelenskyy wrote on Twitter. “It was on this platform that I announced the peace formula and now I count on India’s participation in its implementation.”
