Ukraine announced that 19,100 Russian soldiers were killed since the start of their invasion on February 24.
The General Staff, by the Ukrainian Forces on Facebook, reported this statement on Facebook, "Ukrinform" news agency reported on Saturday.
"In the period between February 24 and April 9 this year, the total fight losses of the enemy included 705 tanks, 1,895 armored combat vehicles, 335 artillery systems, 108 multiple-launch missile systems, and 55 anti-aircraft systems," the Ukrainian forces said.
The forces added that the war losses also included 151 aircraft, 136 helicopters, 1,363 vehicles, 7 boats, 76 fuel tanks, 112 drones, 25 units of special equipment, and four short-range ballistic missile systems.
On Thursday, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of President Vladimir Putin, admitted that a large number of Russian troops had died in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, describing it as "a great tragedy for us." However, Peskov did not announce a specific number.
