On Monday, UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly confirmed that London does not rule out taking further retaliatory measures against Iran after the execution of a British-Iranian accused of spying for British intelligence in Tehran.
Despite the insistence of parliamentarians, Cleverly refused to specify whether the UK would include the IRGC on its list of "terrorist" organizations.
Earlier, a spokesman for British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak told reporters that the government was "considering taking further measures" with its allies.
In response to the execution of Iranian-British national Alireza Akbari, 61, on Saturday, the United Kingdom imposed sanctions on Iran's chief prosecutor, Mohammad Jafar Montazeri.
London also summoned Iran's charge d'affairs and "temporarily" recalled its ambassador to Tehran.
