The United Kingdom ( UK) has conducted trials of the first self-driving bus on road in Scotland, with plans to carry passengers within months.
Gadgets 360, a website concerned with new inventions, reported that the buses are equipped with sensors that enable them to operate on predetermined routes without driver intervention to ensure safety or control.
According to Scottish media reports, the operation of self-driving buses will provide a service capable of transporting up to 36 passengers for a distance of 22 kilometers, with a capacity of 10,000 passengers per week.
Scotland is undergoing a trial run to ensure these buses could interact safely with other traffic in a live road environment.
